UNIQUE GRAVESTONE

THIS UNIQUE GRAVESTONE IS IN MONMOUTH, SOUTH WALES. WHY IS IT UNIQUE? IN THE 1800'S, A GENTLEMAN OF THE TOWN, JOHN RENIE, WANTED TO BE REMEMBERED AFTER HIS DEATH, SO HE CARVED HIS OWN GRAVESTONE. NOTHING UNUSUAL ABOUT THAT YOU MAY SAY, BUT WHAT HE CARVED ON HIS GRAVESTONE IS WHY HE IS REMEMBERED. LOOKING AT THE GRAVESTONE, IT LOOKS LIKE A JUMBLE OF LETTERS, BUT THERE IS A KEY. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STONE THERE IS A SLIGHTLY LARGER LETTER, H. IF YOU GO UP, DOWN OR SIDEWAYS FROM THIS H, YOU WILL SEE THAT IT READS, "HERE LIES JOHN RENIE". BE SURE TO ENLARGE THE PICTURE BY CLICKING ON IT, TO SEE IT FULLY.
