I've visited Rorke's Drift. It is really beautiful there. I think that trip (when i was 11 years old) really had a big impression on me and spurred my lifelong interest in wars and conflict.
ReplyDeleteThank you for directing me to your blog. My husband was at Sandhurst with a direct descendant of Lieutenant Bromhead and went on expedition with him to the Blue Nile in 1968; they were the first people in the world to navigate the upper reaches of the Nile, conducted as guests of Haile Selassie.
