ZULU HERO

FANS OF THE FILM "ZULU" WILL BE INTERESTED IN THIS POST. THIS IS THE GRAVE OF JOHN FIELDING (WILLIAMS), ONE OF THE HEROES OF RORKES DRIFT. FOR HIS BRAVERY IN THIS BATTLE, JOHN FIELDING WAS AWARDED THE VICTORIA CROSS.

  1. I've visited Rorke's Drift. It is really beautiful there. I think that trip (when i was 11 years old) really had a big impression on me and spurred my lifelong interest in wars and conflict.

My husband was at Sandhurst with a direct descendant of Lieutenant Bromhead and went on expedition with him to the Blue Nile in 1968; they were the first people in the world to navigate the upper reaches of the Nile, conducted as guests of Haile Selassie.
