ReplyDeleteHello All
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments. It is a really beautiful spot to visit. Jwanstey, it must have been a delightful place to live.
yes, amazing place and your photo captures its beauty fantastically. I live in NY now, but where i was brought up -
ReplyDeleteBrockweir Farm (house pictured) is walking distance to tintern abbey over the monk's walk through the forest, the old railway line and abandoned tunnel (spooky at night), Devil's pulpit and the deep green Forest of Dean.
you must have been at the railway station on the other side of the river. there you would have seen the destroyed bridge and restored station. keep up the good work. James Anstey
Hello James(jwanstey)
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say about your kind words? It gives me great pleasure that I have rekindled such vivid memories for you of such a beautiful part of the Wye Valley. You are correct when you say I was at the restored Tintern Railway Station, we often stop there for tea and admire the view. I will try and post a picture of the restored railway station sometime in the future especially for you.
