BRITISH ICONS

THESE TYPICAL BRITISH RED TELEPHONE BOXES ARE SLOWLY DISAPPEARING FROM THE SCENE, (LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE HAS ALREADY TAKEN ONE). SMALLER PHONE BOOTHS AND MOBILE PHONES HAVE, UNFORTUNATELY, CONTRIBUTED TO THEIR DECLINE.

  1. Nice phone boxes, but do any of the phones work? Out here they would not...

  2. It's been a while since I visited so I spent some time looking at your posts and photos from the past weeks. I like how you've taken many photos of historic sites and provided some background information - very interesting. Really loved that Gavarnie Falls shot - reminded me a lot of Takkakaw Falls in BC, from my days in Alberta.

    Good work!

  4. Hi Bruce,
Yes, most of them work. A lot of the phone boxes in London have internet access and are able to make international calls, because of so many tourists I guess. Thanks for you comment.

  6. Hi Katherine,
I could tell you about someone I saw changing in a phone box once..............but that's another storey. Thanks for your comment. By the way, love your new photo.
