That is a beautiful photo. I have to confess I don't know what a keeper's pond is. We have ponds over here and in the south of Texas they call them tanks.

ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. The photo was taken on 21st February 2010 whilst out for a drive. It is thought that it was named "Keeper's Pond", as it was near the house of the Earl of Abergavenny's gamekeeper. The "Pond" was built about 1824 to provide water for a forge lower down the hill.
