Lovely photo! I am sure I visited there as a child...
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place of history. It seems so wet to see the castle surround by water, but I do know why. It just seems swampy. I don't think I have ever seen speed boats moored next to a castle. Thanks for such a great photo.
ReplyDeleteHello Emm
ReplyDeleteThanks Emm, why not visit again?
Hi L.D.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the photo. For defence purposes, castles usually were built on the water. If not, then a moat would be built around the castle.
Oh, I have no doubt I will visit again there one day - there are so many places I want to take my husband!
ReplyDeleteHi Emm
ReplyDeleteI really hope that you and your husband get to visit all the places you want.
