BONES, BELIEVED TO BE THOSE OF ST DAVID, WERE DISCOVERED IN 1866. IN 1920, THE BONES WERE PLACED INTO THIS OAK CASKET WHICH WAS THEN ENCLOSED BEHIND THE IRON GRILLE.
