MAMETZ WOOD

THIS POST IS IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THE 38th (WELSH) DIVISION WHO FOUGHT AND DIED AT MAMETZ WOOD, THE SOMME, FRANCE, JULY 5th - 11th 1916.
ROAD SIGN, IN FRENCH, WELSH AND ENGLISH, POINTING THE WAY TO MAMETZ WOOD AND THE 38th (WELSH) DIVISION MEMORIAL.
THE 38th (WELSH) DIVISION MEMORIAL OVERLOOKING MAMETZ WOOD
THIS PLAQUE, IN ENGLISH, FRENCH AND WELSH, WAS ERECTED IN THE 1920s IN MAMETZ CHURCH.
THE WELSH DRAGON, HOLDING BARBED WIRE, STANDS PROUDLY OVERLOOKING MAMETZ WOOD. THIS FITTING MEMORIAL WAS ERECTED IN THE 1980s.
