NORMAN CONQUEST
CHEPSTOW CASTLE,THE FIRST STONE BUILT CASTLE IN WALES. BUILDING WAS BEGUN IN 1067 BY WILLIAM FITZOSBERN AS A BASE FOR THE NORMAN CONQUEST OF WALES.
